Nearly wrecked car three times watching it go up and down while driving.
Arrived inside 48 hours. No instructions which worried me but I thought I'd take a look because emailing support and it turned out to be pretty self explanatory. Unscrew manual aerial, unscrew base, open boot, pull back carpet, undo nut with spanner, pull radio connector off, throw old one away, stick electric aerial into the hole, bolt on using old nut and spanner, slot radio connector on, stick electric socket into hole, push rubber seal on outside, screw on metal screwy thing, put carpet back. (Mk2, but I assume a 2.5 would be the same.)
Anytime there's current going through the radio the aerial goes up, otherwise it goes down. What's really sweet is that you don't have to remember to take off the radio before you turn off the ignition because even when off the aerial still has the power to retract.
I have been wanting one of these for ages, but felt the price was a little prohibitive. It took a big chunk out of my 'new hood' fund but I don't care, I love it and it really makes the back of the car look a lot more contemporary. Buy one if you can.
