Audiolink for iPod to Mazda Modular, Mk2/2.5/3

UPDATE : This is now the very latest version available. The Audiolink System has been confirmed to now work with the iTouch and Classic Versions, and has also been confirmed to work with the latest 4th generation iPod nano and iPhone 4.

This 'Audiolink' plugs directly into the back of the 1998> Mazda Modular Audio System and allows you to connect ANY portable audio device, iPod, Minidisc, CD Player, MP3 Player, whatever you want!

The Audio Link iPod Integration Kit will revolutionize the way you listen to music in your late-model MX-5! Simply plug in your iPod and listen to it through your car's factory stereo system. The unit will keep your iPod charged, automatically turn on your iPod when you start your car, and will even resume playing right where you left off. It allows you to use your steering wheel controls to change songs and it also features a 1/8" stereo plug to allow you to input other sources, such as satellite radio.

  • Compatible with any iPod with a dock connector on the bottom, including iPod mini, iPod nano (except 4th generation), iPod photo, and iPod video.
  • Power on automatic play function and power off automatic pause.
  • Automatic pause when switching to FM, AM, CD, or TAPE/MD.
  • No battery required.
  • Keeps your iPod charged at all times.
  • Direct connection with CD-quality sound.
  • 1/8" stereo jack for other auxilliary input.
  • Use your steering wheel controls to change songs.

Installation is easy, but does require removal of your vehicle's head unit from the center console. IMPORTANT! BEFORE removing the head unit and plugging this device in, you must first disconnect the vehicles battery. Not only is this for your safety when removing the stereo, but also in some circumstances, failiure to disconnect the battery can make the audio link malfunction. Once the head unit is removed, the Audio Link simply plugs into the external CD changer port, located on the back of the head unit. The Audio Link wiring can then be routed to your glove box, down the center console to the cupholders, or wherever would be most convenient for you.

The kit includes the Audio Link control unit and a plug-and-play wiring harness.

Only works with the Mazda Modular Units, will not work with 'Bose' audio in Mk2/2.5.

Latest version now works with ALL head units in Mk3, all functions, track forward, back, battery charge etc. (also works from the steering wheel controls).
