It is a fiddly job getting the plug into the back of the audio unit but undoubtedly much easier than taking the unit out of the dash. Make sure you press the plug all the way into its socket - I managed to get the plug into its recess only to have it fall out while putting the aerial plug back. Unit works perfectly and delivers high quality sound. The manufacturers web site www.audio-link.eu has details in English telling you how to fit the unit to an MX5 Mk3 - don't be put off by the German - the support documents are in English.
