Great, we no longer have to hold the boot up with one hand and put the stuff in with the other. Instructions for a MK1 Eunos were not totally clear. try the following.Prop boot fully open with a bit of wood. Remove torsion springs with mole grips and brute force and a bit of wiggling. Remove black metal cover on left hand side bulkhead. Unscrew existing torsion spring mount. Orientate lifter and attach with plastic spacer. Identify where bolt will locate on support arm. Drill pilot and then clearance hole. Attach bolt, I could only get nut into lifter arm due to its shape. The dangling lever arm that the lifter spring attached to should be positioned upwards where it stays out of the way, removal is a major drillling job. Lubricate boot seal or it might stick a bit. Call wife and explain how she will be able to do the shopping more easily now and get her to keep closing the boot so you can keep pulling the release!!!
