I've had my cat by-pass pipe fitted to my car for about three months now, and am thoroughly impressed with it.

Delivery was near instant (as always with Scimitar), and the pipe was very easy to fit with the only issue arrsing from one of the cat studs/ nuts being seized, which turned a half hour (optimistically!) job into a two hour job - on this basis i'd advise soaking the studs in WD40 for a while prior to attempting the swap.

I fitted the pipe at the same time as a Pipercross induction kit, and would say that the combination of the two has transformed the car, having fitted both at the same time it is difficult to say which has provided the most gain (although I'd suspect it would be the by-pass pipe). The car now makes a fantastic noise above 4000rpm, but seems to have much more torque from 2500rpm.

The pipe seems quite expensive for what it is, but is competitively priced, so I won't argue, in it's defense it probably gives the biggest performance gain for the money - so definitely worthwhile.

I would recommend anyone to fit one of these to their car.

(my car is a 1990 model and as such does not need the cat for an MOT - perhaps if i needed to swap the pipe over come each MOT I might not rate it so highly) Rating: 5 of 5 Stars! [5 of 5 Stars!]
