I received this product the day after placing the order. It is an original Mazda part and needless to say, it comes with no instructions.
Fitting the pipe was quite difficult due to the stiff exhaust nuts, and the fact that the car is very low to get under.
I managed to free the rear nuts with the aid of a friend to hold the socket onto each nut while I turned. These nuts are harder to access due to the design of the Cat which is being removed so it is important not to bollocks up their removal.
Unfortunately, the front nuts were stuck fast. I've since learnt that a blow torch can be used to expand and free them. I opted for the route of screwing up the bolt heads so I couldn't use sockets or spanners. These nuts are easier to get to so I tried to get a couple of surfaces to work with by using an angle grinder. You can afford to be quite bold with them if you don't intend on re-fitting th old cat.
Anyway, in the end, I took it to a local garage and payed the guy £20 to butcher the old nuts with a welding torch and fit the pipe.
The car now goes noticably quicker and pulls harder. The exhaust note is now subtley raspier and not too noisy. It is certianly a great value for money modification.
