I have a Eunos Roadster 91 which was showing the cat heat warning light so I got my mechanic to fit this replacement pipe, rather than pay out for a new cat. You will need to buy 2 gaskets to fit it correctly. I checked wit the MOT centre and they said it was not required to have a cat, but did caution about the lamda sensor, which they said might be part of the cat or after it in the sequence. I checked in the MX-5 workshop book, and fortunately, it comes before the cat in sequence, so is unaffected. The pipe cost £20 to fit and solved the heat problem. The car showed some increase in power, but only a bit, and the engine sound also increased, pleasant but not overwhelming! That was 6 months ago, and I've not had any trouble yet (touch wood). I haven't put it through an MOT yet though, but hopefully its OK.
