Here is the next generation in racing clutch systems!
The Exedy Hyper Carbon-R, a revolutionary non-damped carbon clutch system, which is lightweight, durable and resilient to high temperatures reached during racing, hopefully resulting in some faster lap times!
The kit comes pre-assembled complete with a lightweight aluminium flywheel, and has a torque capacity of 254 lb-ft. Due to the clutch plate having no dampers, this kit is only suitable for track use.
Fits all Mazda MX5 Mk1/2/2.5 models, 1989>2005

Please note: Due to the inherent properties of the carbon material used, we must specify the correct procedure for bringing the discs up to operating temperature. Failure to do this can result in slipping and premature wear in the clutch plate. The process will heat the discs and hold the specified torque rating. The correct process is 3, 5 second slips of the clutch within a 30 second period at low RPM.
Please Note: Due to these being a sports clutches and generally used for competition or in higher powered vehicles, Exedy only offer a limited warranty against manufacturers defects of 3 months or 3000 miles (which ever comes sooner).
