Due to running a BBR-GTi supercharger conversion on my Mk3.5 I was getting the occasional clutch slip on upshifts when using higher RPM/ wide open throttle (WOT), time to upgrade before the original clutch became badly damaged.
This review is carried out just two days post installation. The clutch is certainly heavier to operate but that was entirely expected, I must stress that it is not overly heavy. The bite is progressive but is producing a very slight judder on take up, more notceable in reverse, however the judder is very light and I hope that it will disappear once the clutch has bedded in properly.
The main thing here is though that it has a very solid bite on upshifts when using higher RPM/WOT upshifts with no trace of the slip previously mentioned, it is true to say that the car feels much sharper on throttle response after upshifts, perhaps the original clutch was slipping a little more than I realised.
I would rate 5 stars but for the judder I'm experiencing at the moment, if this does disappear after a bedding in period I will change to a five star rating.
Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]
