My old strips had 'bubbled' at the front, which was unsightly, and they were obviously missing some clips.
In spite of the HUGE expense, I bought 2 new strips as I'd noticed a lot of water on the sills as I opened the doors.
I managed not to break any of the remaining good clips in getting the old ones off (thankyou Rod Grainger) which was a good thing, because the new ones only had each alternate one!
Is this how MX5 parts can sell the clips seperately, coz they've removed some from the strips????!!!!
Needless to say I used the remaining old clips in addition to the ones supplied in order to get an even finish.
The rubber on the old strips was so stiff it was almost brittle so the new ones do a much better job. They make a surprising difference to the 'newness' look of the car aswell. I'm still getting water on the sills, so it's coming from somewhere else, but it was worth changing these for the look and the wiping function of the window rubber. The price is I suppose Mazda's fault rather than MX5 parts' but one star knocked off for price, one for lack of clips. Worth changing if you have an old car though.
