Wonderful modification! Changed the standard air box directly after dyno testing car, before driving home... and the difference was so noticible! There's definately extra umph, and a throatier noise from the exhaust. This, combined with a change to 14degree timing, has breathed new life into my acceleration. I'll get used to this for a while before continuing on the path to the dark side... *grin*
One note though: when fixing the rectangular bracket surround which marries the filter cone to the air regulator, the existing 4No. headless screws were clashing (too long) with the end of the cone filter. Luckily I was beside a mechanic when I noticed it and he removed then quickly, and fitted screws with heads. Could be problematic if you don't have the right tools. Although, no-one else mentioned it, so it could be particular to my engine.
