Nice speedy service as usual from mx5parts. I agree that the instructions aren't as clear as they could be, still no idea why you have to remove the front pipe I loosened the clip but didn't remove it and had no probs?!?! Good idea about softening the rubber on the K&N in warm water worked a treat (i could have struggled with that!) on prob I had was when I removed the old air box the little bracket that fits to the straight bracket supplied was missing (must have been lost on a previous service!) so I tightened up the L bracket but a bit too much and snapped off the bolt! Doh! had to mod the L bracket and fitted on one of the suspension mounts instead. Also the hole in the slam panel was missing on my car there was one on the other side just not the same side as the filter so had to run the pipework through a different hole and while I was at it fed the pipe through the engine bay so that I could still use the bonnet stay. All in all sounds very good really sucking in the air well hope I notice an improvement in performance when I test it.
