These lights do not fit mx5's that have heated seats!!! ie the sport or euphonic (wiring needs a double switch and connector) the only way around this is to
1/ Buy Mazda uk lights
2/ Wire into the air con blank using a second hand air con switch. £5.00 in a scrap yard.
I was not told this by my dealer or mx5parts.co.uk and have had a terrible time
trying to get the job done. the lights are cheaper yes but then it will cost you £125.00 to get the wiring sorted by your dealer and you will end up not having them wired into the proper place :-(
If i had been told all this at the start i would have bought the uk lights
The kit is supplied complete with its own wiring loom and switch. If you have a spare switch blank, you can add a standard Mazda fog lamp switch. If you do not, but do have the rear fog switch in the centre panel, you can connect the lamps to the mazda loom and add the Mazda double fog switch. If however you have the rear fog on the right of the column and no spare blanks, you will have to use the supplied switch. With so many variables being introduced by mazda, it is impossible to produce a kit that covers all the eventualities and integrates with the OE wiring and switches. Sorry!
