Just fitted these to my 1991 UK MX5. My car didn't have speakers fitted originally, but there was a space in the headrest for them. It's a bit of a pig to get the wires down the back of the seat, but then just trim the foam and run the wires into the stereo. The results are well worth the effort! The sound quality is greatly improved, I would however recommend replacing the door speakers while your at it, as mine were completely knackered. The headrest pad does sit a little proud, but with a bit more fiddling I should be able to improve on this. I cut holes in the plastic covers to help the sound travel and to give a little more room for the centre tweeters to sit in. Others haven't and seem to manage ok.
