i recently purchased these leads. great service by mx5 parts but unfortunatly my car started misfiring BADLY. after some investigation i found out it was due to one of the leads breaking. i will be returning them as soon as possible.
after reading the other reviews, it seems this maybe an on going fault as i am the third person to report the same problem.
Editors Note: The only leads that we have had returned to us have had the following issue: The metal connector that sits inside the long rubber/plastic sparkplug connector has not been correctly locked in place, causing it to be pushed upwards when fitting the leads, rather than clicking tightly on to the top of the plug. To correct this issue is very simple: To identify an affected lead, just hold the sparkplug connector and pull the flexibly plug lead firmly. If it moves more than a few mil, the metal connector is not correctly seated. Push the flexible lead into the sparkplug connector until the metal connector is level with the end of the fitting, then twist the flexible lead 90 degrees and pull it back until the metal connector locks.
We do check all leads upon delivery to us, but the odd one does seem to slip through. We are sorry for this and are reviewing how we check them to try and eliminate this issue.
