||They do look beautiful once installed, sadly instructions in German, which was disappointing, and one of the lights surrounds snapped as I was using force as part of the installation process, so be gentle with them... It snapped very cleanly so fitted back together well...
Want English installation instructions for a Mk2.5?
First, remove the glove box, by opening it then pulling down and to the left.
Next remove the radio; it makes the whole process a lot easier! (Use standard DIN removal keys on the modular Mazda radio)
Then remove the two rectangular covers from their holes.
Very important point now... You have a red cable and a black cable, but with three connectors, two are the same (female) and plug into the lights. The third (male) is to plug into the interior light cable.
This third connector will need to be located to the LEFT of the glove box; therefore you need to ensure it starts from the LEFT hand lamp, so you have enough cable to run over to the left of the glove box.
Next run a black and a red cable across the inside of the centre console so that one of each colour is hanging out of the rectangular hole where the lights will fit. Remember, the connectors should be the same (female), we use the male one later. By removing the radio, it is much easier to thread the cable across the inside of the centre console.
Connect the cables to the lights as per the photo on the instructions (Rote means red!), and install the lights into the rectangular holes.
Finally, on the LEFT hand side of the glove box, and just above the foot well, you should find a plug similar to the one in the photo on the instructions, with a white and red cable and a blue and red cable. Install one of the blue cable plugs on each cable, using a set of pliers to ensure it grips the cable. This was fiddly due to space constraints, but I found a longer bit of the interior light cable, which made it much easier. You must connect to the right cables, so be sure!
The black cable from the kit installs on the blue and red cable and the red onto the white and red cable. The lights should come on as you plug in the cables at this point.
Re-install the glove box, left hand side first, and drive away with a smile on your face...
