The switch itself looks OK. However, after several months I still haven't been able to figure out which of the 5 switch contacts go where - mostly 'cause I don't want to blow bulbs or damage anthing. Presumably an auto electrician will find this straightforward. If anybody has done this and can produce a wiring diagram or say where each of the contacts goes (Scimitar?) I would be grateful for the assistance.
You only have to ask!
If I number the poles from 1 to 5 from left to right on the top row (the row with three pins), then the bottom:
1 = To 'lights on' switch (top left)
2 = To 'lights on' switch (top middle)
3 = To earth (top right)
4 = To earth (bottom left)
5 = One side of the foglight bulb (bottom middle)
The other side of the foglight bulb goes to earth.
Poles 1 and 4 make the switch iluminate when the side lights are turned on, 2 and 5 operate the foglight and 3 lights the little bulb up on the switch when its turned on.
