My father and I bought a set each of these straps for a weeks driving holiday in France, in March. Delivery and service were awesome as always.
The leather portion of the straps are nice quality, and it was sufficiently fiddly to screw them to the rack that I was confident no oik would be bothered to spend the time trying to pinch them!
However, the straps did stretch quite a considerable amount during the week. There are numerous holes in the straps to buckle them to different lengths, but it got to the point where I ran out of holes, and was having to transfer items from the boot into the boot lid bag to bulk it out. This can be sorted by adjusting the fitted strap length, but I didn't have the necessary tool (screw driver) with me to do it on the road. I also think this could be fixed by treating the leather. I'll be looking into my nearest saddlery soon...
The most disappointing part though was that the fasteners and buckles corroded, and have now stained the leather straps and my boot bag.
I would recommend these straps to someone else, but would tell them to use their own fasteners (stainless) to fix it to the toast rack, and to treat the leather prior to fitting.
