The bar itself seems a decent piece of kit, and front and rear versions were delived with the customary MX5Parts speed. Asked Longlife Exhausts to fit them whilst fitting a Stainless Steel cat back system.
Discovered that my 1997 Harvard LE already had factory fitted braces. Surely this must be the same for all late Mk1s ? The fitter popped the front one on any way (which I guess gives me the firmest handling in the world) but could not fit the rear one without removing the factory fitted one. Not a good idea, so posted the rear back to MX5Parts and it disappeared off the face of the earth. Not a happy result, but I suppose that is just one of those things.
Editors Note: All MX-5s from 1998 have a factory fitted front brace, however, fitting this brace, which does NOT require removal of the factory items, will really stiffen up your chassis. Just read through the reviews, even adding this to the latest Mk2.5s has significant benifits.
