Look, this is a very nicely contructed piece of hardware and I have noticed a difference having it installed. I did however fir it with the BSP front and rear chassis braces which allowed me to throw the car round round-abouts all the better and then I added KONII sports kit and well... in combination it's all brilliant fun.
PLEASE BE ADVISED HOWEVER... The strut attachs to the 2 bolts (either side) that come up into the engine compartment from the top shock mount. The bolts on some of the earlier MX5's (<1991) are quite short and whilt you can remove the nuts, add the strut mount and replace the nut, the nut is only JUST on shaft of the bold and can be quite hairy in the event it shakes loose (your shocks fall off!). So I would suggest you check you have enough room on your bolts to accomadate the 5mm strut bracket as well. Your alternative will be new new top shock mounts which cost around US$250 for a set of 2.
Again, it's a great bar but it's worth your while checking your bolts first!
