Yes, the finish on my set was not brilliant, but apart from needing a bit of prep work and painting i cannot fault these TSI units.
I smoothed & then painted them, adding some kitchen tin foil to the inside of the indicator housing to make a "reflector" which works well!
Fitting is a simple matter of removing the old sidelights and screwing these in, they even use the existing bulb holders, although you will need to get a couple of orange 21w bulbs for the indicators.
As for MOT time, well it's only a 2min job each side to re-fit the original sidelights! I don't see what the problem is !?
I'm thinking of sticking some wire mesh to the rear of the TSI opening and then attaching a small white LED to this, which will give me sidelights all year round, and should pass an MOT too.
4 out of 5, only the poor finish lets them down.
