The part I received for my mk2 was not an exact copy of the original as it seems slightly bulkier and the front is completely flat (easy to tape the number plate to) unlike the curved original. I prefer the look of the original, but you'd have to be an anorak to spot the difference.
The holes didn't quite match up with the originals when I fitted (about 5mm out) it so I had to file out the holes to make them wider on the new plinth, which was quite easy.
Overall, good value for money, it seems more robust and its not dropped off yet! Delivery was excellent.
