I had a poor set of lowered shocks and springs when I bought the car. After much fireworks from the underside of the body I eventually changed these for the original standard set, it was like being in a tractor, it must have been at least 50mm higher than what I was used too, and very soft, not great for the corners, the fun had gone. I was not a happy camper, spent a year in misery and even thought about selling me beloved, the car that is.
Well sense prevailed and a mate told me of this website and went to work looking at all the suspensions on offer. Did a little bit or research and was informed Koni was the pigs B*****. Got me mechanic to fit the lot for € 200, he moaned a little as apparently you have to drill the body a little to fit the shocks.
Well what a difference, is better than it ever was. Have great fun adjusting the firmness of the shocks to go even quicker around the corners. Sell the car now never, the woman give out a little that it’s a bit hard, whah, but if you want comfort and to cruse around then be an old fart and buy a merc or Jag.
I have a MK1 and would recommend them for anybody who wants a lot more fun, it’s defiantly worth the money
the best fun per pound i ever had, it'll bring that smirk to anyones face
