Chrome Air-out Balls

Well I have most everything chrome in my car but thought that these would be OTT. However, since I'd run out of things to buy I decided to give them a go.

Removing the old balls and fitting these took about 15 minutes. Some people have difficulty in taking out the old ones. I simply insert the handle of a dinner knife into the topmost part of the existing ball pivot downwards and with a quick tugging motion they're out.

Look pretty good once done.

A word of warning though, these are proper triple chrome plated brass balls and weigh 4 times that of the stock. So if like me you have an old car the felt which holds your balls stationary will not be up to the job. A visit to the local craft shop and purchase of a small strip of felt which was applied to the interior plastic soon sorted this problem out.. Voila!! No more ball droop!! :O)

May be a bit too ostentatious for some.
