I'd had an overheating problem for a while now. After many diagnostics and several radiator flushes from my Mazda dealer, I noticed that the right side of the radiator was hot and the left half (behind the fan) was stone cold. So where technology failed, my fingers succeeded in diagnosing the fault!
The part arrived promptly the day after I ordered, but I was a bit disconcerted to find a huge footprint on the box (thankfully not repeated in the radiator), and a few tiny dings in the grille fins - but after a proper inspection everything seemed fine.
It was a trivial job to change it (not much more than unscrewing 4 bolts and unclipping 2 hoses) and took me just under an hour to fit using the instructions from www.miata.net.
