Ordered these to replace the MOT-failing rears. Arrived quickly, as usual, and around four hours to replace both rears, fairly easy job. The bottom bolts on my '96 Mk1 were surprisingly easy to remove! Couple of tips that might be useful:
* If you're following the Enthusiast's Manual method, by far the easiest way to lower the wishbone and remove the old shock assembly is to lever gently down on the top wishbone with a long bar, using the large suspension mounting bolt head as the fulcrum.
* On both my old shocks, the nut holding the assembly together was frozen to the old shock shaft, and had rounded the hole in the top mounting plate - aargh. Solution I found is to grind two flats on the old shock rod (using a Dremel though the compressed spring), and use a 10mm spanner to hold it still while removing the top nut.
Car now feels much firmer at the rear; new front shocks/springs next.
