They do the job, although because they have a grooved earth electrode you have to be careful checking the gap. I had no problems with them, but eventually I fitted NGK iridium plugs (BKR6EIX-11), initially for their maintenance-free benefits but I actually get measurably higher mpg with them (40mpg+ from a Mk1 1.8!), which I wasn't expecting; NGK claim a very slight increase is possible, but I thought this would be marketing fantasy. These are much better value for money than the iridiums, then, but they're not quite the best.
