Just finished fitting this hood. Now I can see out the back when the top is up! Most impressed with the quality and the design, which is better thought out than the original. Not so impressed with the instructions, which deal only with areas where the hood deviates from the original. If I hadn't bought the MX5 workshop manual at the same time I'd have been lost. With the manual, it is just a matter of being methodical and carefully photographing and labeling everything as you go. Took me about 8 hours, spread over the weekend. The biggest car fixing job I have done for a long time and with this one you don't get your hands so dirty! Still broke a couple of nails though. You need a good selection of tools available, including a torx head bit for the hard top stops.
If you do have to pick the package up from the couriers depot, then it will fit inside an MX5 on the passenger side, provided you take out the headrest.
