first of all a tip: removing lower flange bit from original waterpump make sure not to round the lower bolt or you are knackered!!

i did, and when i replaced this with another bolt (of the same size), when it came to putting it all back together again, it stripped out all the threads in the waterpump rendering it useless, before i had gotten close to tightening it up. disappointing.

fortunately, my old waterpump was fine so i could put it back on (even tho i had removed the gaskets - a good clean up and a bit of liquid gasket and it's holding so far...)

not a job i'm keen to do again!

have put average score because although the bolt i used was fractionally shorter than the original, i still don't think the threads should have been stripped so easily. Rating: 3 of 5 Stars! [3 of 5 Stars!]
