Fantastic end result... but a bit of a "cafuffle" to fit! The disassembley is simple enough, as is fitting the new dial faces. The tricky bit is refitting the needles so they indicate correctly. As always the instructions (which I read and followed) make it all sound so simple... but it took me the best part of a morning and about ten disassembley/reassembleys to get it right. The problem seemed to be that once I had got [for example] the oil pressure guage reading correctly, I'd put it all together only to find the fuel guage and water temp guage off the scale (when they had been fine previously). Once I had sorted them out I'd then find the oil pressure guage incorrect again, even though I hadn't touched it! After much cursing and to-ing and fro-ing I hit on the idea of re installing the needles with the instruments in situ and the engine running (a bit of a fiddle in the space available, but I'd tried about everything else)... and this seemed to do the trick.
In fairness the end results were worth all the swearing as the results lift the whole inside of the car, especially with the "vintage chrome trim rings" that I purchased at the same time.
As usual excellent turnaround and delivery from MX5 Parts.
