As a previous reviewer wrote - This is not a job for the inexperienced!
The parts fit perfectly, but the job is very difficult even given the correct parts.
Some things to beware of.
1. The lugs ARE the correct shape and size and two do fit. At first glance they it doesn't look that way. When correctly fitted and tensioned, they hold each other in.
2. Take a lot of time figuring out how to correctly wind the cables onto the winder drum in the regulator. If you get it wrong (by not winding enough cable on or not having both cables properly on half and half) you will irrepairably mash a cable or winder drum and have to buy another. If you can easily fit the cables over the pulley's without streaching every last millimeter of give out of the cables, you haven't wound the cables right!
3. The cables are long enough I promise you. However, the final part of tensioning the cables over the runners and pulleys is a very tricky, tiring job that I think means a two man effort.
When I eventually finished and everything was properly installed, The window worked better than it ever did since I owned the car. These parts are better than original fit (The have added rubber dust boots to the regulator housings that weren't on my 1992 Mk1), but be warned that you'll need plenty of patience and skill to install them!
