Good product, it fits well (as you'd expect for a genuine Mazda part) and is easy to install.
It's a bit pricey but genuine parts tend to be.
The fitting instructions are clear enough. You need to pop off a couple of clips holding the carpet in place. You then drill two holes in the plastic footrest that is moulded to the carpet (and the carpet behind it).
Once you've done that, you slide a metal plate behind the carpet. The plate has two nuts on it and you place screws through the aluminium plate, through your newly drilled holes and into the nuts in the metal plate. Pop the clips back in and the job is done.
The whole job probably took about 10-15 minutes.
