The replacement of the existing radio with this unit is not a job to be undertaken with a head cold and matching hangover. The old radio comes out easily enough and has been described in various fora on the web. The new unit unfortunately does not come with any clear instructions which has resulted in me breaking lots of the small retaining clips on the plastic surround. For starters the radio unit itself comes enclosed in a metal mounting rack which you MUST remove for the rest of the bits to slot into space (I did not realise this hence lots of broken plastic). I have not yet worked out how to link the steering wheel controls up to the new wiring harness and somewhat worryingly there is a spare block from the old radio unit with lots of wires coming out of it but no place to plug it into.
Now for the good bit, the radio works a treat, the iPod capability is fantastic (track listings on the display) the display colour can be changed to red to match the rest of the dash lighting, the display dims when you put the headlights on (dont ask me how as I never wired anything up to the lights). so overall I am satisfied with this but it would have benefited from some clear instructions / idiot guide for the likes of me
