I also had a problem with adhesive but it was not a product problem. I use AutoGlym vinyl and rubber care on the dash and door panels and it is very difficult to get rid of all traces making it impossible to stick anything to it.
I used the supplied swab, Mr Sheen window cleaner, Meths, all no good. Tried Araldite adhesive but no good as masking tape also would not stick to the door panel. I found success with Evo-Stik Contact Adhesive.
Once stuck they look great.
Cannot find chrome knobs, or covers, for the Mk2.5 radio. Can mx5 parts get these?
