Having read Jonathan's write up I knew this wasn't going to be easy. But since I had to fit my white dial kit and the replacement oil pressure chrome ring (the one I originally got last year was rusty when it came!).

Actually not too difficult in using a dremel with a cutting disc,,,you just have to ensure that it doesn't run away with you (so make sure you use a low speed). Also if you cut through it at too high a speed you find that the plastic melts producing a white burr. Cut as close to the edge of the clear as possible then the cowl will cover up the join when you refit.

Followed the instructions and it looks really good. Just make sure you clean the inside of the clear plastic and carefully polish out any fingermarks on the finish before glueing in back together. For glue I used the new loctite 2 part system especially for plastics

Will try and get a pic up at www.mx5-zone.com/mark.htm in the next few days.
