The original door speakers are 25w and the Maystars rated at 140w. They were easy to fit to my 1990 BBR Turbo as the separate speaker covers negate the need for removal of the whole door trim.
Having read other reviews of these speakers I opted to fit each using 2 of the original 3 screws/holes.
I used some sticky-backed foam to cushion the edge of the speakers against the metalwork of the door.
Regarding the wiring, I cut off the old speaker connectors and spliced about 10 cm of the new wiring, including the spade connectors for the new speakers, making sure that the old and new cables with the part-white insulation were joined together.
There is a noticeable improvement in sound quality and, with the old speaker covers refitted, the original apperance of the interior is maintained.
Very easy to fit and improved sound at a bargain price.
