Looking for a brake pad that's fine for normal road use, but also capable for all day abuse out on track? Buy Yellowstuff. Fitted mine at the same time as new standard discs. My MX5 is used for weekend summer fun and occasional trackdays. With the previous standard pads on my first ever track day the car suffered from brake fade and also some rather unpleasant smells which I believe were coming from the brakes. Since fitting the Yellowstuff (front & rear) I've had absolute confidence in late & hard braking all day long. Worried about lack of braking when cold? I was, but no need. By the time I've driven out of my cul-de-sac it stops fine, and then improves with heat.
Any negatives? The only thing I can think of is the extra brake dust that is generated, but as I tend to clean & polish my beloved '5 after every outing I'm really not bothered.
I will definitely buy again.
