EXCELLENT! A real dramatic(!) increase in sound (& much cheaper than upgrading the exhaust!) with an increase in power (or at least the impression of having more BHP, with the cool impreza type sound); hence definitely takes the standard car to being (sounding) more like a trackcar!

Fitting took around 45mins, the instructions aren't as bad as some make out & the photos help massively (I just followed the steps on the photos). My top tip would be; that the j/clip actually slots into the little chunky black plastic washer type thing on the nut&bolt. Fit the heat-shield first (using existing bolts which held the original box in place, but incl. the 2 new washers) then slot the filter in & couple to the plastic a/f meter. Although after having fitting the j/clip with the bolt to the longer black metal bracket (which comes with the kit) & then put in place with the j/clip opened out to accept the filter's sleeve. N.B. The meter filter sleeve crimped a bit with tightening the j/clip hard (whilst carefully 'just' bending the heatshield out of the way) as it could do with some sort of large rubber washer to prevent this happening, as the sleeve is 'marginally' larger than the a/f male pipe end.
Although I can't see that the crimping will be detrimental.
All in all this does seem expensive, but it definitely increases the old' MX-5 smile!!
