Never again will I order from MX5Parts. I have spent over £1400 with these people over a 12 year period. I have never had a problem until now. I bought a thermostat, put it into the car and its faulty, when the fan came on it just stayed on, I then went and got a cheap copy as a stop gap and its fine. I contacted MX5Parts and was told I have to pay to return the thermostat and they will test it and if found faulty they will refund. I have never returned anything to them before. No trust, I shall never use then ever again.

There is certainly no distrust in your case, but as with any item bought from an online retailer, should there be a problem of any kind it would need to be returned. As was explained to you, if the item was found to be faulty you would be refunded for the cost of the part and for any return postage costs ensuring you are not out of pocket. For a Genuine Mazda part to be faulty out of the box is incredibly rare, and we are entitled to not only confirm that is the case, but also to ensure that it is an isolated incident. We are also, as a business, entitled to return the part to our supplier to try and recover some of the cost. This is not an unreasonable practice and is certainly in line with the vast majority of, if not all, other retailers.
