I received my steering wheel today and excitedly tore open the brown paper to reveal my nice new Wheel hurridly I rushed to the car to admire the perfect colour match with my dash trim and gear nob.
It was only then that I noticed the lovely crack running right through the wooden rim.
upon phoning MX5PARTS I was informed that their courier did not collect from the customer, so I would have to pay out for postage and wait for my damaged wheel to arrive at MX5PARTS before a new one would be dispatch out.
This is not at all inline with the otherwise very good reviews that MX5PARTS normally recieve for the otherwise excellent service.
To say I\'m disappointed would be any under statement
Editors Note: I can fully understand your dissappointment and I really wish that there was a better way that we could deal with this sort of situation. Unfortunately, because of the activities of \'scammers\' in the past, we can not send out a replacement for a faulty product in advance of receiving the faulty part back. I can assure you that we will replace the wheel immediately that it arrives here and refund your return postage costs as well. Our courriers will collect the parts for return, but they charge an additional £10 admin fee for this service and it requires that you are available at the collection address between 8am and 6pm on the collection day. This is usually very inconvenient for our customers which is why we do not use this service. Most customers find popping the item in the post at their convenience is much easier.
