There are three different cats fitted to the Mk1,
1.6 or 1.8 upto 1994. This cat is 370mm in length.
1.6 or 1.8 from 1994 to 1997. This cat is 440mm in length.
1.6 or 1.8 1997/8. This cat is 475mm in length.

If the date of manufacture of your car is near any of the change-over points, the safest way to ensure you order the correct cat is to measure the distance between the two mounting flanges of your existing cat.
