FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)

If you are having trouble with our website some of these frequently asked question might help! 

HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON THE WEBSITE?

To create an account, click on the little person symbol on the top right hand of the homepage and click Register. This will take you to an account signup page where you need to enter your details and create a password.

HOW DO I LOGIN TO MY ACCOUNT ON THE WEBSITE?

To login to your account, simply click on the little person symbol on the top right hand side of the homepage and enter your email address and password. 

I'VE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD, WHAT DO I DO?

To reset your password, click on the little person symbol on the top right hand side of the homepage, and click Forgot Password? This will take you to a page where you need to enter your email address and then click Recover. An email will be sent to you where you can then set a new password. Emails can take a while to come through so please only do this once. If you haven't received the reset email after a few minutes check your spam folder as it may be in there. If you are having trouble resetting your password, please Contact Us and one of the sales team will be happy to help.

WHY AM I NOT RECEIVING EMAILS FROM YOU?

This is most likely because they are going into your spam, or junk folder depending on your email settings. Check in there and mark them as "not spam" for the future.

HOW DO I SEARCH FOR PARTS ON THE WEBSITE?

To search for parts on our website you can either browse through the categories by MX-5 model by using the drop down menu at the top of the homepage, or alternatively if you know what you are looking for enter a keyword such as "brake discs" or "slave cylinder" or SKU (if you know it) into the search box. 

HOW DO I BUY A PRODUCT?

Simply find the product you need on our website, check the quantity is correct on the right hand side of the product page and then click add to basket. Sometimes there are variants of a product such as colour, or side of the car in which case there will be a drop down box that you need to select from. Once all the parts you require have been added to your basket, login to your account if you haven't already done so and click on the shopping bag symbol on the top right hand side of the homepage. This will take you to your basket where you can start the checkout process.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO ORDER ONLINE? 

We always prefer orders to be placed online, however if you don't want to, feel free to call a member of the sales team on 02392 644588 who will be happy to help. Alternatively, you can collect your order from our shop in Portsmouth.

CAN I ADD PARTS TO A WISH LIST AND BUY THEM LATER?

Yes you can! To add parts to a wish list, make sure you login your account first, and then with click on the heart symbol on the top left on the photographs in the category pages, or if you are on a specific product page, click Add To Wishlist in the box on the right directly under the add to basket button.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (except American Express) as well as PayPal. If you are coming down to see us to collect your parts we also accept cash in the shop.

CAN I COLLECT MY PARTS AND IF SO WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

We are based in Portsmouth on the South Coast of England where you are most welcome to visit to collect your parts directly from us. Our address is:

We don't currently have a click and collect option at checkout so we recommend that you call us before travelling down to make sure that we have what you need in stock. If you already have an account with us we can reserve them for you, however payment must be made in the shop at the point of collection.

WHAT DOES OUT OF STOCK MEAN?

If a product is showing out of stock it means we are waiting for new stock to arrive from our suppliers. We buy products from all over the world and sometimes delays in shipping means that we can run out of stock of a product, particularly during busier trading periods. Delivery times from suppliers are rarely guaranteed however please feel free to Contact Us and we will do our best to give you a time frame on when new stock might arrive.

IF I ORDER ONLINE WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE DISPATCHED?

All orders will be dispatched from our warehouse the same day if they are placed before 3pm. The only exception to this is weekends and Bank Holidays as we are closed so orders placed on these days will be sent on the next working day.

HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO ARRIVE?

This depends on what you order, where you are, and who it is being sent with. Small orders under 1.5kgs are sent with Royal Mail and will usually arrive in 1-3 working days to mainland UK addresses, and larger orders over 1.5kgs are sent by courier and are usually delivered within 1-2 working days. Orders being delivered to the Highlands, Islands and anywhere else around the world will take a bit longer. Please see the Delivery Page for more information.

HOW DO I TRACK MY ORDER?

Orders sent with Royal Mail are not sent using a tracked service, however your order has been dispatched with our courier partner Think Worldwide, you can enter the tracking number from your dispatch email directly into their website to keep track of your orders progress. Please note, that you need to remove the two digits off the end of the number in order for it to work. For example, if your tracking number is 12345A01, just enter 12345A (the 01 or 02 etc just denotes the number of parcels you order has been sent in). If you have any issues tracking your order, please contact us and a member of the sales team will be happy to help.

CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER ONCE IT HAS BEEN PLACED?

If you need to change your order once you have placed it, please Contact Us as soon as possible. We will always do our best to help, however depending on what stage your order has progressed to in our system may mean we are no longer able to amend it.

CAN I LEAVE A REVIEW ON A PRODUCT?

Absolutely! We love product reviews whether they are good bad or indifferent so please feel free to do so. Just sign in to your account and go to the product you wish to review, click on the stars under the product title on the left and click Write Review.

I AM NOT IN THE UK WILL I PAY VAT?

No. If you are purchasing from outside of the UK, VAT will be not be charged. However please note that on all international shipments, you will be responsible for paying any local VAT, import duty and customs clearance fees that may be charged before delivery. This is down to your own governments import rules and is completely out of our control.

I AM A UK MX-5 OWNERS CLUB MEMBER, DO I GET A DISCOUNT?

Yes you do! We are thrilled to be able to offer all UK Owners Club members 10% off anything they order from us all year round. If you have been a member for more than a month, and your email address is the same with the Owners Club as it is on our website you will already be signed up. Once you login to our website you will then see everything at the discounted price. Please visit the Owners Club Member Benefit page for more information and details on how to obtain the discount if you don't already have it.

HOW DO I RETURN A PRODUCT IF I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND?

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase from us, feel free to return it to the address at the top of the invoice within 30 days of purchase. Please ensure that the products are in their original packaging and are in a resaleable condition and please also include a note to say who they are from and why they are being returned as it helps speed up the process. Please see the Returns page for more information.

WHEN WILL THE REFUND BE PROCESSED IF I RETURN SOMETHING?

Refunds for returned products are normally processed the day we received them and will be done back to the payment method that you originally used. Depending on the card provider though, it can take a few days for the money to reflect in your account. Please see the Returns page for more information.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE A FAULTY PRODUCT?

All parts we sell carry a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase, however in the unlikely event that a part develops a fault, please contact [email protected] with as much information as you can about the problem, including photographs where appropriate and one of the sales team will get in touch with you to help. Please also include your original order number to help us find details about the order in our system.

DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?
