  • These JVC units are the perfect replacement for tired headrest speakers. They are a tight fit, and you will need to remove some of the foam from in the headrest, but the improvement in sound quality is really worth it.
  • Please note: Each set of speakers are enough to do one seat. If you need to replace the speakers in both seats you must order 2 sets.

Should be informed that they do not fit. IÆve bought them specifically to have peace of mind during fitting. My car came with MSSS; headrest with ôround Pioneersö, they are I think, half an inch smaller. That said, they are also 4ohms. My bad here, as my stereo is 4x55 at 4ohms. IÆll need to increase the impedance to be able to run them in parallel. Service excellent as always.

Great but CAUTION! These are 4Ohm speakers. The OEM ones are 8Ohm. This is because the head unit in a car is typically 4Ohm and 2 speakers per ch in parallel means the speaker impedance IS HALVED. Therefore these speakers present only 2Ohms to the head unit. 1) Make sure your head unit can accept a low 2Ohm impedance 2) If not you may wish to wire the 4 headrest speakers in series Or 3) You could possibly add a suitable high power resistor in series to beach headrest channel. I think mx5parts should add this to their product description. If you donÆt do the above you could damage your head unit.

They don't fit. Suspect the manufacturer has changed spec and nobody has checked since. You will need to cut off the mounting tabs and take a large hammer to the metal brace in the seat headrest. Having done that, the speakers are too deep to fit comfortably in the space. This is a right bodge, and if you have a nice car don't do it.

With the roof back and driving very fast I can still hear my music rather than the distorted crackling from the 25 year old originals. Fitting was fine if you take your time and dont hurry (you don't need to remove as much foam as suggested and my original speaker wires were held in the back by a glued rubber grommet which needed gentle, but firm, use of pliers to remove).

The first upgrade to my newly purchased Roadster which had the original factory fitted speakers and a very distorted sound. These vibrate your internal organs. OK so you have to cut the headrest foam to make them fit, but boy is it worth it. Lid down, volume up = heaven!

Bought these to replace original drivers headrest speakers which no longer worked. When I got them I thought no way will these fit, but they do. Just follow the instructions which come with them and they fit a treat and sound great.

If you do nothing else to your car,fit these.I did follow the instructions, and as previously said, if you use the template you remove more foam than you need to. Fitted into my leather seats in no time at all. Fiddliest bit was removing the grommet in the excisting housing to allow the wires to be removed without cutting.

I have literally just finished fitting these speakers and just hoovered up the mess. I was concerned that they would be a nightmare to fit but they were the opposite. Simply un-zip the headrest, remove the old speakers, disconnect the exsisting wiring inside, cut away some of the foam (less than i expected) making sure to go right back to the metal spine in the seat. Then just connect the speaker wires and pop them in. A tip - bend in the mount bracket on the outside edge of the speaker when fitted otherwise the cover wont fit over the speaker. As other people have said, you really dont need to screw them in to anything as the speaker magnet latches onto the metal spine and the rest of the seat is jammed against it when you zip it back up. As far as sound quality is concerned, they are a huge improvement and i would recommend replacing the door speakers at the same time to get the best effect. Very quick delivery from MX5 Parts in a big bundle of things for my NA MX-5. Will definatley buy from here again.

At the present time, we only offer one delivery option ‘our carrier’. We will dispatch your goods with the most suitable carrier, for main land UK deliveries this is normally Royal Mail 1st class for packages weighing under 1.5kg and Think Worldwide for those that are over.

Our delivery charges are based on the weight of the consignment and the destination address. For UK mainland deliveries they start at £1.97 for a package weighing under 300g and rise to a MAXIMUM of £9.95 for a package weighing 1.5kg or over (EXCEPT very large bulky items that have an additional shipping surcharge added). The exact delivery cost will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Delivery times are estimated at 1-3 working days by Royal Mail, and 1-2 working days by Think Worldwide for mainland UK addresses. If you order before 3pm, Monday to Friday, we will dispatch the same day. If you order after 3pm, we will try to dispatch the same day, but if we cant it will be the next working day. Items ordered after 3pm Friday or over a weekend will be dispatched Monday. Items dispatched on Friday are for delivery the following week. Items ordered over a Bank Holiday will be dispatched the next working day. MX5parts is constantly updated to keep pace with changes in our stock but demand is high and we occasionally run out of popular items. If we have run out of stock and can’t dispatch your order the next working day, we’ll email or phone you with a revised dispatch date. A signature is required for ALL orders delivered by Think Worldwide. Someone must be at your delivery address to sign for your parcel between 8am and 6pm on a working day. Please send it somewhere it can be reliably signed for, like your place of work, a neighbour, or perhaps your grans. We can (but we don’t like to) ask the courier to leave your parcel without a signature. If we do this, it will be YOUR responsibility if the parcel is lost or damaged. If you want it left, you need to give us your express instructions in the ‘additional information’ box at the end of the checkout process. It would be helpful if you could also indicate exactly where the package should be left.

If you need to change your delivery address, for any packages that have been dispatched with Think Worldwide, there will be an additional charge of £9.95 if the package has already been dispatched.

Please remember, even with Royal Mail deliveries, that any items which are too large to fit through your letter box will need someone to be available to receive the delivery. If the item cannot be delivered, you will be carded and given the option of either a re-delivery or you can collect your parcel from your local post office depot.

Orders sent to countries outside the UK will be sent VAT free, however please note that on all international shipments, the recipient is responsible for any local VAT, import duty and other clearance fees that may be charged.
