Decent kit and easy enough to install (except for those blasted rusty bolts!) You’ll need a spring compressor and probably new boots, and buy a selection of bolts in case you have to cut some on the old shocks like I did. Installed mine 2 days ago and I’m a little worried as the back is sitting 1cm lower than the front, which isn’t ideal. Definitely fit everything the correct way round so I’m hoping it’s just settling, or in need of an alignment. Any words of wisdom, mx5parts?

I bought these as they lowering amount is 13mm leaving good clearance for speed bumps etc When fitted however the car is at least 30mm lower, the exhaust is literally an inch off the ground. Disappointed as these were not cheap. Replacing with standard setup.

Bought mine about 18 months ago, got it fitted by my local garage who do the bigger jobs for me. Was fine until yesterday when a spring snapped. disappointing after less than a 1000 miles.Editors Note: Sorry to hear these have not met you expectations. Very pleased with this kit. My car had a broken rear spring and since everything else looked pretty tired I thought I would take the opportunity to freshen things up.Ordered the kit online on Sunday and it arrived Tuesday. Great service from MX5 Parts and I will definately be ordering more parts soon.Kit fitted fine but I would recommend buying new shock gaiters/bump stops at the same time. My old ones were disintegrating and i'm glad I fitted new ones. This kit is a bargain! I wanted to freshen my car up without spending a fortune. I also wanted to keep things fairly standard and this kit fitted the bill. In fact buying four KYB shocks on their own costs roughly the same price as this kit so the springs end up costing pretty much nothing!I measured the ride height of my car before and after fitment and the change was negligible. I guess the old springs had sagged a bit and a rear one had snapped. The drive after was improved but again not dramatically. The ride is slightly firmer, the car more stable and planted on the road and body roll reduced. Basically the car is now more like I would expect a new one to feel like without the 97K worth of wear mine had before.If you are looking for a value for money way of replacing your shocks and springs, without ruining the ride comfort, retaining a pretty standard ride height and making a car on old standard suspension feel newer, I would highly recommend this kit.

Very disapointed with this kit,fitted some time ago and have been chasing the problem with it ever since. The lowering part isn't bad,perhaps a little too low to be practical sometimes,but the ride quality is bouncier than a bouncy thing!!! :-( It was professionally installed and the springs have been checked to ensure they are the right way around.Dampers are non adjustable so we cannot get rid of the now much bouncier ride than std,so are having to go back to std springs which crazily are much stiffer!!!??? Have bought many good products from this company over the years and had always been very happy,but this kit is to be very much avoided in my opinion.

First time user of MX5 parts - brilliant service arrived next day. The kit is great too. I bought it as a straight replacement as my shocks had gone so it failed its MOT. This set was cheaper than my mechanics' replacement shocks on their own. They don't drop the car hardly at all but from my point of view as a regular road driver they are great. Not too hard, not too soft and the car sticks to the road. Early days, but so far so good.

I bought this Kit to replace my very worn original suspension on my 1992 eunos. Wow what a difference! My car has been transformed from a P&O ferry to a taught roadster.The kit has been paired with the gaitors/ bump stops and a front chassis brace which has proven to be a very worthwhile purchase. The car has been lowered by a sensible amount.As usual, ordered on one day and delivered the next - excellent service as usual thanks.

Delivery Information - MX5 Parts

We understand that its really important for you to receive your goods in a timely fashion and for a competitive price. To ensure that we can deliver this we have developed a strategic partnership with both the Royal Mail and our courier partner, Think Worldwide.

At the present time, we only offer one delivery option ‘our carrier’. We will dispatch your goods with the most suitable carrier, for main land UK deliveries this is normally Royal Mail 1st class for packages weighing under 1.5kg and Think Worldwide for those that are over.

Our delivery charges are based on the weight of the consignment and the destination address. For UK mainland deliveries they start at £1.97 for a package weighing under 300g and rise to a MAXIMUM of £9.95 for a package weighing 1.5kg or over. The exact delivery cost will be clearly displayed on the first page of the checkout.

Delivery times are estimated at 1-3 working days by Royal Mail, and 1-2 working days by Think Worldwide for mainland UK addresses. If you order before 3pm, Monday to Friday, we will dispatch the same day. If you order after 3pm, we will try to dispatch the same day, but if we cant it will be the next working day. Items ordered after 3pm Friday or over a weekend will be dispatched Monday. Items dispatched on Friday are for delivery the following week. Items ordered over a Bank Holiday will be dispatched the next working day. MX5parts is constantly updated to keep pace with changes in our stock but demand is high and we occasionally run out of popular items. If we have run out of stock and can’t dispatch your order the next working day, we’ll email or phone you with a revised dispatch date. You can then either accept the revised dispatch date or cancel the order, as you wish. Please note, shipping times are an estimate, and can not be guaranteed. Please note that during special offer periods, dispatch of your order may be delayed slightly due to high a volume of orders.

A signature is required for ALL orders delivered by Think Worldwide. Someone must be at your delivery address to sign for your parcel between 8am and 6pm on a working day. Please send it somewhere it can be reliably signed for, like your place of work, a neighbour, or perhaps your grans. We can (but we don’t like to) ask the courier to leave your parcel without a signature. If we do this, it will be YOUR responsibility if the parcel is lost or damaged. If you want it left, you need to give us your express instructions in the ‘additional information’ box at the end of the checkout process. It would be helpful if you could also indicate exactly where the package should be left.

If you need to change your delivery address, for any packages that have been dispatched with Think Worldwide, there will be an additional charge of £9.95 if the package has already been dispatched.

Please remember, even with Royal Mail deliveries, that any items which are too large to fit through your letter box will need someone to be available to receive the delivery. If the item cannot be delivered, you will be carded and given the option of either a re-delivery or you can collect your parcel from your local post office depot.

Orders sent to countries outside the UK will be VAT free however please note on all international shipments, the recipient is responsible for any local import duties and taxes that may be charged.
