Genuine parts from Mazda. I recommend using a G clamp and a 32 mm long socket which gives enough force to push the metal ring into place without damaging the boot. I used the ball joint press first and I tighten it a bit too hard and waste one boot. If you are using some tools that can produce a lot of pressure be careful not to tighten it too hard.

Quality part, that I expect to last. They are a tight fit, but the plus is that they stay in place and protect the joint. I use a piece of tube to push on the shoulder to fit and it works fine. Delivery was a little longer than normal, but probably due to Covid restrictions and perfectly acceptable.

My dust boots on the OSF top upper ball joint and OS track rod end failed the MOT. Garage said new arm and end, £360. But why don’t YOU just replace the boots? Apart from splitting the joints (I’d buy a good screw pincher separator next time) it’s a simple task AS LONG AS YOU DO A BIT OF PREP.Once you have prized the old boots off, plenty of grease and just press the new ones onto a step. They are a bit of an interference fit but its rubber and it’s greased, it will go together. Once fitted, it should stay in place no matter how much you waggle the joint.Key to it is try to put the correct boot in the correct place! The rod end is bigger than the upper ball and the two boots were just in a bag. Anyway, a 30mm socket, clasp the socket and arm between both hands and squeeze. You can finish off with a G-clamp or similar but that may not be needed. No need to take the top arm off.For the rod end you’ll need a 32mm DEEP socket a normal one may not go down enough because of the ball joint thread hitting the back of the socket. Fortunately I had a bit of tubing of exactly the correct size. Support the end on some blocks of wood and press down. I used two 4inch square fence post off cuts. No need to remove the rod end – no need to have the tracking re-aligned!Don’t forget new split pins. Good luck. It’s all in the prep.

the item is of excellent condition as anyone would expect from mazda spares. i saved my track rod ends but fitting is kind of hard. i had to take my track rod ends to the a hydraulic press to fit them which was a pain. but nevertheless worth doing. In my country (Greece) no one would want to fit them to my car, trying to force me to buy new ones. i had to do this myself. I am only giving 4 stars due to the trouble i had fitting them, otherwise they re life savers...

Writing this review as I took a punt on there being one bad review and one good one. The boot does fit - as the positive review before this one says, use lots of grease after cleaning out the ball joint, and with something to support the track rod end from underneath, place socket wide enough to sit on the metal lip over the boot, whack socket with mallet = boot on. unfortunately I'd made the schoolboy error of not protecting the ball joint threads when splitting the ball joint, and the ball joint shaft got distorted to the point that a die won't clean it up, and I now need a new track rod end anyway! But this went on in 10 minutes and would be doing its job perfectly if it weren't for a bit of haste on my part. In summary - don't be put off by the negative review if you have a reasonable sized collection of sockets.

Superb, bought this dust cover as mine was starting to split but there was no wear in the original track rod end ball joint. Deleivery was very quick as usual, the boot is top quality and fits perfectly, I applied new grease to the cleaned ball joint and used a 36mm socket over the boot and tapped into place with a mallet - perfect! recommended if your track rod end is in good shape.

The metal insert on the wider end (the one meant to fit flush over the track rod end) is too small, which makes it impossible to get the cover to fit flush and seal the rod end itself - an MOT failure.Total waste of time and money. Avoid.

At the present time, we only offer one delivery option ‘our carrier’. We will dispatch your goods with the most suitable carrier, for main land UK deliveries this is normally Royal Mail 1st class for packages weighing under 2kg and Think Worldwide for those that are over.

Our delivery charges are based on the weight of the consignment and the destination address. For UK mainland deliveries they start at £2.95 for a package weighing under 200g and rise to a MAXIMUM of £9.95 for a package weighing 2kg or over (EXCEPT very large bulky items that have an additional shipping surcharge added). The exact delivery cost will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Delivery times are estimated at 1-3 working days by Royal Mail, and 1-2 working days by Think Worldwide for mainland UK addresses. If you order before 3pm, Monday to Friday, we will dispatch the same day. If you order after 3pm, we will try to dispatch the same day, but if we cant it will be the next working day. Items ordered after 3pm Friday or over a weekend will be dispatched Monday. Items dispatched on Friday are for delivery the following week. Items ordered over a Bank Holiday will be dispatched the next working day. MX5parts is constantly updated to keep pace with changes in our stock but demand is high and we occasionally run out of popular items. If we have run out of stock and can’t dispatch your order the next working day, we’ll email or phone you with a revised dispatch date. You can then either accept the revised dispatch date or cancel the order, as you wish. Please note, shipping times are an estimate, and can not be guaranteed. Please note that during special offer periods, dispatch of your order may be delayed slightly due to high a volume of orders.

A signature is required for ALL orders delivered by Think Worldwide. Someone must be at your delivery address to sign for your parcel between 8am and 6pm on a working day. Please send it somewhere it can be reliably signed for, like your place of work, a neighbour, or perhaps your grans. We can (but we don’t like to) ask the courier to leave your parcel without a signature. If we do this, it will be YOUR responsibility if the parcel is lost or damaged. If you want it left, you need to give us your express instructions in the ‘additional information’ box at the end of the checkout process. It would be helpful if you could also indicate exactly where the package should be left.

If you need to change your delivery address, for any packages that have been dispatched with Think Worldwide, there will be an additional charge of £9.95 if the package has already been dispatched.

Please remember, even with Royal Mail deliveries, that any items which are too large to fit through your letter box will need someone to be available to receive the delivery. If the item cannot be delivered, you will be carded and given the option of either a re-delivery or you can collect your parcel from your local post office depot.

Orders sent to countries outside the UK will be sent VAT free, however please note that on all international shipments, the recipient is responsible for any local VAT, import duty and other clearance fees that may be charged.
