The Scimitar International Web site uses both the latest secure server (SSL) technology and the latest secure shopping system which ensures that all relevant information regarding credit card details are safely encrypted and processed only by Scimitar International. For your added security, we are members of ‘IMRG’ (Interactive Media in Retail Group), a trade organisation that represents all the major UK on-line retailers. We are members of IDIS, the official merchant accreditation scheme for delivery standards and best practice for e-Commerce. Unauthorised use of Credit Cards
As part of the OSCommerce community we have a strict policy of investigating all attempts at ordering from our website by unauthorised persons using stolen credit card numbers. All suspicious orders will be investigated by sophisticated means and if necessary the information will be passed to the relevant government agencies in both this country and the countries involved. We reserve the right to double check all orders and restrict shipping as and when we choose.

All prices are displayed in GBP (Great Britian Pound). You can select to display prices in Euro. Prices displayed in Euro are an indication only, based on the current exchange rate, your payment card will be billed in GBP.
All items sold are subject to availability.
All offers are subject to stock availability. We will of course notify you immediately if we have run out of any goods you have ordered. We do operate a ‘back-order’ system, and should a part be out of stock, we will advise you with an expected delivery date. Back-orders will automatically be despatched as soon as fresh stocks are available. Please advise us if this will not be satisfactory. Product availability are subject to change without notice.
Reconditioned Exchange Items
All reconditioned parts are sold on an exchange basis. If the old unit is not exchanged at the time of purchase, a surcharge will be added to the invoice, redeemable when the old unit is received in a reconditionable state. The surcharge will be refunded in the same form as it was charged (cheque/cash/credit card). The cost of return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
We will only process orders where full authorisation of payment has been obtained. We reserve the right to refuse or restrict any purchase.
Scimitar International guarantees customer satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with the goods you have bought please return them to us within 30 days of delivery. You will receive a full refund, providing the goods are delivered in new condition. Sorry, but we can not refund the carriage costs.
All mechanical parts sold by Scimitar International are covered by a full 12 month/12,000 mile warranty from the date of dispatch. This warranty is limited to the value of the part, and does not include fitting costs or failure of related components. Warranties are not transferable and are limited to the original purchaser only. In the event of a complaint, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can remedy the situation speedily.
All product descriptions are given in good faith. All claims of effect of fitting uprated/improved/modified/lowered parts are based on the assumption that the vehicle is currently in factory standard trim for a standard model ie, not already modified and not factory special.
All goods are carefully packaged before dispatch. However, accidents do happen. If your order is damaged on delivery, please contact us immediately, Any claim for goods damaged in transit MUST be made within 48 hours of delivery. Please keep all packaging for inspection at the delivery address.
Return Procedures of unwanted goods

Where applicable, you may cancel your order in accordance with your rights under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2014.
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. Goods must returned to us in resaleable condition. Monies will be deducted from any refund should the goods have been used, or handled beyond what is considered acceptable to inspect them and decide on their suitability (i.e: what you would normally do when buying goods in a shop).
Return Procedures of faulty goods
In the highly unlikely event of being sent faulty goods please return the goods to the above address with a description of the faults. Where goods have been returned faulty within 14 days after purchase we will provide a full refund including the cost of postage.
Refunds will be made within 30 days and in the same form as the original charge (cheque/cash/credit/debit card).
Exchange of Goods
We will be happy to exchange any items you are not completely satisfied with providing they are returned to us within 30 days of delivery. Please e-mail email@example.com for more info. Sorry, we will not be able to refund your return postage costs for an exchange.
It is our policy to ensure you receive your goods as quickly as possible. In most cases we dispatch the orders the same day or the day after the order has been placed. Delivery usually takes about 2 working days in the UK, within 5 working days to mainland Europe and the USA and between 7 and 14 working days to the rest of the world, depending on the country you reside. However, please allow 28 days for delivery. The cost of delivery also includes cost of packing. Please note that during special offer periods, dispatch of your order may be delayed slightly due to high a volume of orders.
Application of VAT
All prices shown are inclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax) unless otherwise stated. Orders sent to counties outside the EU are VAT free. Please note on International shipments that the recipient is responsible for any local import duties and taxes that may be charged.
Discount Code Promotions
Special offer discount codes cannot be used with any other offer and cannot be used during 10% Sale periods. The discount code must be redeemed before the date shown when your code is issued. MX5Parts reserve the right to cancel the discount code at any time. MX5Parts decision is final.
10% Sale Periods
All items purchased during the offer period will be discounted by at least 10% from the normal RRP. The discounted price is clearly shown in the top right hand of each product page and is highlighted in red, this is the price you will pay. No further discount will apply at the checkout. Any items that are already discounted on the website will not have any further discounts applied. Any item ordered during the offer period which is not available from stock will be supplied at the offer (discounted) price when stock becomes available. Carriage is charged at our normal rates but is excluded from the 10% discount. Carriage charges are clearly shown at the checkout before your order is finalised. Special Offer discount codes cannot be used during an offer period. MX5Parts decision is final.
